Producer/Presenter Gold Coast

  • Base salary $77K-$95Kp.a.

The Role

Are you a driven storyteller with a passion for sparking conversations and breaking news that counts? Do you have strong curiosity and an original perspective that will engage audiences?

When you join us, you will be ready to:

  • Produce and create compelling content for broadcast, social media and online platforms to engage local and national audiences.
  • Participate and contribute as an active and collaborative member of the local team
  • Cross promote other ABC content to increase audience engagement.

ABC Gold Coast produces local Breakfast, Mornings and Drive shows and you could be working on any of these programs (shift work may be required).

Based at Mermaid Beach, youll enjoy the fantastic coastal lifestyle and great climate of the Gold Coast. If you love the beach, food and outdoor adventures then you will love this location.

About You

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Producer/Presenter who will bring an engaging conversational style and sharp editorial analysis and judgement. You will also bring

  • Highly developed planning, creative, organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to cope under pressure, anticipate problems and take initiative in a fast-paced audio environment.
  • Keen news sense and proven experience in breaking stories that will engage audiences.
  • Strong approach to teamwork and collaboration.
  • Understand the needs of local audiences across multiple platforms.
  • Passion for the community and building strong contacts.
